Interest Free Loan Distribution

1. Micro Credit Bank:

In Bangladesh around 2000 NGOs are working throughout the country, most of them aregiving loan to the needy people with exorbitant interest rate. Poor people, finding no other way, compel to go to these money lenders to take loan with interest, which they know is strictly prohibited in Islam.To save the poor from the curse of interest, IMPB has started giving interest free loan in a limited way which has created a huge response from the people. The recovery of the loan amount in installments also found highly satisfactory. IMPB Zimmaders and local Islamic theologists used to sit with the people in every week when they come to pay back their loan installments and teach them the philosophy in this regard along with lessons from the Q'uraan and the Sunnah.

IMPB has provided Taka 200000.00 in 20 of its centers for this purpose and trained few of its supervisors to maintain and control these debtors account.

IMPB has taken the projects to establish a MICRO CREDIT BANK in near future to apread the work through out the country.

2. Sewing Machine Donation For Garment Tailoring:

The poor Muslims are given sewing machine as loan from IMPB by which they will stiches garments for the local market upon getting orders and can earn their livelihood. IMPB is planning to provides 5 sewing machine in each of the selected 20 areas. IMPB has distributed 25 sewing machines.

3. Auto Rickshaw / Rickshaw Distribution:

As per statistic approximately 1 crore 75 lac people are jobless. These people are passing their days in great dificulty in absence of proper assistance. IMPB has donated 100 rickshaws to these people which are income source for 100 families.

4. Fish Cultivation:
Bangladesh is a land of river, water reservoir and ponds from where people could catch enough fish by selling of which they can earn their livelihood after meeting their family need in the early days. But as the population increases and on the contrary water resource management become poorer day by day, natural fish production could not meet the demand of the country.

IMPB has invested in there different projects in three districts where around 30 families are benefited.

5. Handicrafts Production & Export:
NGOs are bring out Muslim women in the work field to work side by side with male workers in the name of making them self-reliant. IMPB has taken steps to produce export quality jute, cotton and cane handicrafts in the villages using women work force keeping them within their house. As IMPB has its supervisory force through out the country, it is very convenient to manage the work force living in the remote area.

6. Nursery:

Tree plantation has begin a social movement in Bangladesh and the government also inspire people to go for tree plantation through various seminar, workshop, exhibition throughout the country. IMPB also actively participates in this movement, train and motivate its workers to go for tree plantation, which in the long run will fetch benefit for both the people and the country.

IMPB has invested with two group of 20 people who have started nursery in Dinajpur and Gazipur from which they will supply young plants at a lower cost as well they will make some profit.

7. Goatery

IMPB has a massive program to distribute she goat to the distressed people as a support to earn their livelihood. IMPB has taken a plan to start a goatery project with 500 mother she goats on the initial stage. The project, in the 1st year, will provide 800 young she goats for donation.
